The importance of content frequent updates and quality

28 June 2010

After I subscribed World Internet Stats to do some revisions about how many world's internet users, I found this article shared the relevancy between site's contents update frequency and quality. Which one to "should" takes first? In this video Matt explaining imperative points of it and what I understood, Matts commented about the importance of frequent updates as compared with content quality.

Talking about content composing and updating, I do think that text is a basic foundation when it comes to SEO (Search Engine Optimization). More powerful if enriching the content with image (jpg) and video in making the site to enjoy multiple search criteria to be crawled, grouped, and ranked by search robot crawlers.

Talking about video, the latest report published by PEW, here is part of the summary where we can see what type of video category mostly liked by American netizens to the least in term of viewership from 2007 to 2010;

1. Political videos - risen from 15% to 30%
2. Movies or TV show videos -  risen from 16% to 32%
3. Educational videos - risen from 22% to 38%
4. Comedy or humorous videos - risen from 31% to 50%

The complete report is available for download or online viewing at the PEW website.

No need to think hard for which type to choose for our selection, the best way is to publish our videos in all categories (types) as listed above.
